History
The Montessori Academy of Lancaster was founded in 1982 by Kathe Brener, Sue Obetz, and Mary “Ricky" Gerhart. Trained and committed to Montessori education, these parents formed a non-profit, corporate structure to permit the establishment of a school faithful to the teachings of Dr. Montessori. Gifts to the Academy are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
